Pivot Fellowship by the Simons Foundation

Dr. Natasha Blitvic, a Reader in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London (UK), was recently awarded a highly selective Pivot Fellowship by the Simons Foundation. She will spend the next academic year as a member of the Environmental Microfluidics Group, where she will bring insights from theoretical probability to collaboratively develop new stochastic models for marine microbial phenomena.
