Our work on “shear-induced bacterial conjugation hotspots” has been published in PNAS

We showed that optimal shearing can increase bacterial conjugation rate five-fold, suggesting that high-shear regions (e.g., turbulent surface ocean) could act as conjugation hotspots. More here.
